I added on my b6 the RNS-E Wich originally had Bose symphony 2 without the mfsw so I wanted so know of it was possible to upgrade to one I have a vag com and starting to get comfortable with it so.... I can get my hands on a b7 steering wheel. Just wanted to know if it was possible without Costing like 3k considering I'll be by myself

The b7 uses a dual stage airbag while b6 has a single stage airbag.
But you can still have mfsw on your b6.
You'll need a a4, a3 or a6 steering wheel and an airbag from the audi a3 8v (round shape airbag.)
I done this to mine and was working 100% with the rns-e.

That's what I thought
For the upgrade to add mfsw to my car do you know anything?

The steering wheel was from a 2012 a4 and airbag from a3 8v.

Retrofits done by myself.
Power folded mirrors
Rns-e
Mfsw
Half leather seats
DIS menu
Cruise control
Parking sensors (only aftermarket mod)

4 years in the making. Lots of money and time researching part numbers and how to.
Along with the time to actually do it..
I sure I even have part numbers needed for this..
And I think I know a guy selling the wheel complete with the airbag very cheap.

Like I want all of them but I'm broke as ****

Don't hate me.. Just was telling you about what I've done.
Well.. You can ask me anything then..
I'll look up everything I have on that and post it here for you in the meantime.

It's not I'm a bad way because I was looking to do them and you told me that these are possible so I'll be even more broke

It's all good pal.
I cannot tell you the amount of hours I put in research when I decided on one of those mods.
But it all paid off.
Anyway.

Will post what you need..
And later I'll check if I have any part that you might need because I have a few things laying around still.

The airbag you'll need is the one with those hooks, and the steering wheel has to be the one with the mode button on the left side, otherwise won't work in the b6.
That's the airbag part number to make it easy for you to find.

You'll need those tools to repin the wires on that yellow connector on the 3rd pic. And I also sent the where each wire goes on the yellow connector..
You'll also need a 4 pin connector and a slip ring which will be different from the one you have now.
And a sccm (if you have cruise control on your car you won't need to swap this as the module will support mfsw.)

4 Pin Connector - 4E0-972-133
Slip Ring - 4E0-953-541-B
Sccm - 8E0-953-549-R (again. If you have cruise control the module also supports mfsw.)

And the fella I told you about is selling the airbag for 150.

Unrelated, sorry! But I really like the blue trim on the interior? Is it aftermarket? If so where did you get it?

Ahah.. Thanks pal.
Nothing fancy about them.
Just took the plastic trim off and had them wrapped..

Awesome, looks really good. Might try something similar at some point!

In an above post you mentioned you know someone selling the steering wheel with airbag quite cheap, any idea on the price?

Yeah man. Thanks.
Actually the guy that does it for me suggested it and and I thought it was cool.
I had the bottom of the steering wheel done with the same blue and was just a beauty to look at..

He swapped cars but now he has found a airbag for the car.
All he's selling now is a single stage round airbag.

Sorry to bother you... does it need to be an airbag from an 8v? They’re expensive af

For the same style wheel I had yeah.
Because it's a single stage like b6. Other models use dual stage airbags.
