Finally i have had the suspension sorted out! it's FIXED!!!!
i bought me a set of Weitec springs and shocks from DPM autostyling (cheers again Damien) a full set of front arms and balljoints inc. "c" links and track-rod ends from ebay and also a pair of strut top mounts. i was intending on fitting them myself but as i'm constantly working and i have nowhere to actually do it (hurry up brickies!) i had to get a local audi specialist to do the dirty work for me! £200.00! to fit the lot...... not worth getting mucky and smashing my knuckles off.
picked the beast up at teatime and it's great, honestly it's like a different machine.
AHHH! the joy of a clunk free Audi!
I'm off to cumbria for a week on saturday so i will see what it handles like now with the new lower stance
( only lowered by around 20-25mm as mine had the "sports pack" suspension) and once it's clean i think a photo shoot will be req'd as it now also boasts updated rear lights, chrome mirrors, clear corners(silvatec bulbs)and it's even been hoovered out!?!? (a very rare occasion I'll tell you).
all in all I've chucked nearly a grand at the car this yr, but it's been well worth it!
Oh yeah! if any of you are thinking of buying the bottom arms for your Audi from ebay, do it!, for the price they are excellent. the garage i used said they are exactly the same as the genuine items apart from the 4 rings emblem and part no's aren't on the ebay ones?( like that matters?)
