Hi, looking at getting a S3 2014 and having a revo stage 1 tune.

I notice they offer software for tuning for DSG auto boxes, is this essential if having a stage 1 map to 350ish hp?

Has anyone had their S3 2014 auto DSG remaped by revo?

Short answer: no. If clutch slip is your concern a TCU tune is first needed/advisable above 380-400hp (this is simplified because the torque curve is also relevant with slip in mind). But the tune will of course also change other factors other than the clamping force of the clutch plates so depending on the price it may be worth it.

Ok thanks, it does start to get pricey with the TCU tune, close to £1k. Is it worth 50/60 extra horses and potentially earlier part failures. Will decide.

If your concerned about part failure I’d look into what turbo you have first pal and also about modding as I can get expensive
