Another front end conversion

Hello everyone, so I'm about to start coversion on my 07 8p2 A3, have been thinking about it for a while and finally decided to go full on with it. So bought another A3 8p3 with engine damage, any tips would be much appreciated. As far I get the hardest thing will be wiring. The one I got has DRL fitted and have no idea where to start with it, if anyone has done it before and has some diagrams or pics left over please post them here

Still does the job anyways I managed to find some more info about pinning and coding DRL's planning to start working in couple of weeks time, will post here my progress, and all troubles I get into along the way

Hello again, Im about to start pulling everything apart, but before that I need to write down key values from old CCM as im swapping it from F to J series, anyone knows where about I should look for them on VCDS please?

Today came across few issues, while was trying o fit new headlights noticed that wiring harnesses are slightly different, on my project car in 10pin connector which goes into headlight #4 slot was empty (first photo)
In parts car #10 was empty (second photo)
So added pin to #4 slot cut wire on #10 and soldered on to #4 (photo 3)
Got no errors and everything worked but after I replaced switch to one DRL function (photo 4), not only DRL's but dipped lights is on, same when switched to dipped lights, both DRL and dipped lights are on.

Please, can someone tell me if its down to coding now or extra wiring needs to be done at the other end of loom? Any help is much appreciated, help with coding also would be awesome, thanks for your attention

Hello everyone again, so after a lot of struggle almost finished with my conversion and it looks like this now, just ran into another small roadblock, after replacing wing mirrors and modules, switches for windows and central locking for front doors wont work anymore, does anyone have run into something like this before? I read that its pretty hard to get those connectors in properly so will take a look at them tomorrow, but that doesnt really explain why does central locking wouldn't work, by the way indicators on mirrors works fine

Are you trying to put auto folding mirrors on or is it just the heated wing mirrors

Have you checked that the door modules your using support the heated mirrors , if so look at the coding in Vcd's and make sure you tick what you need . There should be a coding helper to help you in Drivers + passengers modules and if I remember it is drivers that run the locks

Yes I did mate, both modules and mirrors have been taken out from same car, checked the coding everything seems right put before installing them code was 00000692 so after added 4 for indicators and came up with 00000696, also checked wiring and module receives 12.04v current, really starting to run out of ideas right now, also doesn't explain why does switches on door card don't o want to work, adding fault codes im getting from VCDS
