Audi A4 2007 2.0 tdi convertible engine swap

Hi All it's my first post.In few words I have audi a4 convertible and my engine (BPW-engine code) gone due to oil pump shaft worn out, tryed to find out second hand engine but prices for them are around £1000 plus £500 fitting.I read in some forums that people swap 2.0 tdi engines with 1.9 tdi bomb proof ones and doing 300k without any issues.I already find out that same engines are AXR,AVF and AWX can some one from you profesionals give me advice if I can fit any of these or other tipe of 1.9 tdi engines.Maybe some one from you have experiance in that.

The 1.9 PD TDI engine was not an option in the B7 in the UK, but it was in Ireland.

You could fit the 1.9 PD TDI engine, using an appropriate wiring harness. You will however need the 1.9 PD ECU, and then of course immobiliser issues will arise. It would be best to make sure the donor is a B7, due to immobiliser mis-match.

Even easier, would be to locate the correct 2.0 TDI engine, and fit this instead.
