I finally made the commitment to purchase and fit the Eibach lowering spring for my A3 Sportback without changing the dampers. At first I was quite hesitant, but now it has become the best mod decision I've made.
So one week later, you probably want to know what is the difference ? I noticed the difference straight away with the subtle drop in terms of appearance, and improved handling capabilites around corners. Also I'd noticed the reduction of squat during acceleration which for me is a bonus.
Looking into the specs of my A3 Sportback, it has factory sports suspension, and since fitting the Pro Kit the ride quality is seemly the same. Okay I'm lying there is a small difference...I don't know if any other people have experienced this but you will tend to feel the bumps a bit more on the roads, I can't deny that. Potholes are the worse, and for any driver you would want to avoid this. Don't get me wrong, on motorway journeys it is very smooth and I have no concern for that.
These Pro Kit definitely doesn't dissappoint! I run my car with the standard 17" alloys, so maybe that's why the car is able to retain its comfort over different terrains. I've also changed my existing anti-roll bar to a performance one, so the combination of both has reduced body roll and improved cornering.
