First Audi, so why not an RS :)

Hi all,

Pretty sure I've seen some familiar user names on here harking back to the days of Subaru ownership and Scoobynet times. Since selling my old Impreza about 5 years ago I've had an M3, Focus RS, C63, but decided to go back to AWD but something a little more refined and comfortable in my advancing years - so an RS3 with magride seemed to fit the bill.

Picking it up tomorrow and very much looking forward to it.
Nice to see a forum that's still pretty active.

Sorry for the delay, finally thought I’d get around to posting the pics - these are robbed off the dealer’s site as they took better photos than me!

A few security updates and some PPF and ceramic coating have been added since.
Later this year I’m expecting to have to do front brake pads (looking at the Brembo Sports, Ferodo DS2500, PFZ or similar.
No way I’m banging red stuff on a car this fast despite some of the recommendations I’ve seen on here!), and will need some rear tyres so Michelin P4S’s will go on too.
Now that I’ve gotten used to the car I suspect given a year or two a map may follow but we’ll see; it’s fast but would be interesting to see if it can be made to feel a bit more aggressive.

There are plenty of things I like about it, but the aggressiveness of the Sport mode vs the sleepiness of the standard gearbox mode is a bit annoying; shame there’s not a happy medium in between like where Mercedes offer S and S+ as sport on the Audi is definitely S+ equivalent!
Do like the fact S+ also holds the revs higher from a starting stop.
