Just had a quote from Southampton Audi for my second service.

Late 2016 66 plate, 10,500 miles.

Serviced this time last yer at another dealership 6500 miles. So basically I’ve covered 4000 miles.

The service this time around requires the ‘inspection’ all in £420.00.

Out of interest, is this in line with what my fellow members paid for the same service?

I've not yet had a service on my RS3, however, out of interest, is that £420 for an inspection service AND an oil change?

Take it to a specialist mate. Day light robbery to change the oil and filter and give the car a once over with a nice tick sheet.

paid 379 to have my oil service done early at 6500 miles too. 420 seems a little bit over

Decent independent has quoted me half the 420 for oil change and inspection.

Audi daylight robbery with your pants pulled down !

I’m thinking of taking it to Brookspeed here in Southampton, they’re Porsche Audi specialists.

I’m guessing they have the kit to update the digital service record.

Yep literally walk round the car and check stuff, no physical work at all. Incredible that they get away with it really and that's after 2 inspections on my PFL!

TX.

Madness mate and to even entertain these costs:tearsofjoy:

Fuggin nell...

Just called my local Audi who kindly informed me that when my car is due a service, 18600 miles or 2 years..

  1. Oil and filter change 358.92
  2. Oil, filter and inspection, where they road test it, NOT, 463.92
  3. Oil, filter, pollen filter and inspection, 504.86

Needless to say, it won't be going there for an early oil and filter change later this year..

I'm glad that I got my first service thrown in when I bought the car.
Turns out to be a bigger discount than I thought.

Don't get me wrong, I know the RS3 is a high performance car but some of those prices are ludicrous.

I would assume there's a slightly better oil (although probably not) and slightly more of it than in (for instance) my Golf MK7 GTI but VW quote "From £329" for a major service and my local independent (LVS AG near Lincoln) did it for £250 for exactly the same thing (with OEM VAG parts).

Although no doubt Audi would charge more as they are allegedly the "premium" brand.

They use the same quality oil as in the 1.0 A1’s.
