are going to pay £850,000 towards Cliff Richards legal costs, that's OUR money, yours & mine the licence payer, Auntie beeb ***** up blundering in to his property & we are going to pay for it, lost for words.

Some things never change mate, always someone f'ckn up and we the tax payers always foot the bill!

I don't really watch TV much anymore but still pay my licence, all we ever have on is Netflix for the kids. Been tempted to cancel my licence for some time now but just haven't bothered.

I know it's crap but I suppose if sky or virgin decided to do it with the money they make then what's the difference. Your still paying for a service and I suppose that provider can do what it wants with its dosh.

I'd much rather the BBC throw a few adverts in and ditch the fees.

And are you telling me cliff can't afford his own bills?!
 
You pay the costs if you lose. That’s why you don’t have crazy litigation in the UK, unlike the US. You also need the money to start the thing which he did.

Unfortunately no choice if you own a tv or laptop in your house. Ball ache to get around it.
