Speedo not working, p0501

Hiya, my speedo has stopped working, and I have the above code, I cannot for the life of me find the vss, I’m assuming it’s Mounted in the gearbox somewhere. Could anyone advise on it location?

I have a y reg 1.8t Quattro

Sensor (black thing) towards the back of the box
