Ok I’ve had on the car ever since I got it a cheap cat cost £100 it’s had two in total in 2years as they need replacing each MOT! Also since owning the car the engine management light has been on and I’ve had it cleared about 3 times each time it shows the cat to be problem.
My question is why would a cheap cat cause the engine management light to come on? And what’s good average MPG for a non turbo 1.8? I’m getting 30 but thats never changed even if I do really long motorway miles. I don’t drive like an idiot in fact since having my little lad I’ve become a bit of a Sunday driver . Or should it be better than that? If it should is that down to cheap cat? And how much would a genuine Audi cat cost me? I’ve heared £600 is that right?
