hi all I’ve recently bought a 170 Quattro with engine code bmn
Car has had a few faults, biggest being needing a new turbo, which I’ve had replaced and a full service
However the biggest problem I have now is it is very poor to start in the morning/when it’s been sat for a long time
Seems to turn over a few times splutters a bit and then fires into life
There’s not any smoke to be seen when doing this tho it is difficult to start it and look at the same time
Quick scan of the codes and there isn’t any, temp gauge works ok, and obvs I wait till the glow plug light goes out before cranking, even tried cycling the ignition a couple of times with no difference
Just curious to see if anyone has come across anything in the past which sorted this issue?
The other issue I have is when I’m in 6th gear and cruising at 50ish bout 1600rpm and then go to accelerate there’s a noise I think from the turbo it’s difficult to describe the noise?
May also be linked but there seems to be a loud induction noise when pulling hard as well, sounds like it has an induction kit but it doesn’t, I’ve replaced filters and checked for split pipes??
