OT wifes car

sorry guys for posting here but im desperate

corsa c 1.2 heater problem only would work on speed 4, i changed the fan heater resistor and the fault came back after 2 weeks, so as a "temporary measure" after looking at the vx on forum someone had cut out thermal resistor and joined them together, of which i done lasted for about 6 months now heater wont work at all!

any ideas guys??

was it noisy before it died?

from your write-up it sounds like the motor could have been sticking hence no blow on the lower settings. by-passing the thermistor has allowed the motor to get hot and then burn out the windings.

yep it was the motor cant believe this would go at 30k not cheap either £150!!!
