Mythos black RS3 8v FL
My FL is standard RS suspension no mag ride and it's perfect on all surfaces. In my opinion that is !
“Unrecognisable next to the sh*t-box first gen RS3. Worth the extra over a Golf R? You'd swear it wasn't, but that 400hp Turbo 5.....just wow”
Am I missing something? Is there a link I can’t see to a review?
No review as of yet, that was just taken from his twitter account. Sure it will be out shortly, but sounds promising. Can’t wait for my re arranged test drive on Sunday now
Bit harsh on the PFL!
Yes sounds very good, for Chris Harris to swallow his pride and admit that.... the car has to be epic.
Enjoy!!! You will fall in love with it, incredible machine. Be sure to let us all know your thoughts ASAP.
I will indeed! Hopefully take a few photos too. The fiancé has been invited by her group of friends for a walk lol...so I was like yeh, I think you should go...don’t worry about coming on the test drive, it’s fine. Another time lol. She’d ony tell me to slow down anyway, so quite chuffed she can’t join ha.
The salesman’s having to come wih, but he did say we would go on a longer route. So id hope if he’s getting a decent amount of commission from it
Haha, you define the word 'impatience' and 'worry'. They will have to update the Oxford English Dictionary!!Waiting patiently... okay, impatiently.. for midnight to strike to hit the refresh button, I hope it shows panel shop! Seems common to happen on a Thursday before.
Yeah, he means the 8P.Not sure what he meant. First gen RS3 would be the 8P RS3 wouldn't it?
Am very interested to know more about it being "well damped"....ie. what setup he was driving and on what kind of roads. I suspect it was the RS fixed suspension....but hoping its magride
Had to laugh out loud when all you PFL boys jumped in defense/fell off your chairs lol [flame suit on].....and yes, its not PFL....its 8P (or whatever 1st gen RS3 was)
Read some of the twitter replies..... surprising how angry people get.
So funny!
I can safely say, they are absolutely incredible... me and my brother have spent 190 miles laughing at the noises it makes. A downshift from 2000rpm and under is fantastic.
Now at the detailers until Sunday
No where near as loud as the PFL car though.
Unfortunately not.
My valves are open now, helped a lot and doesn’t seem to have any negatives.. no drone at all.
Permanently open ?

Hi mate new to the mix, been reading your woes with the s3 you had hopefully you won’t have the same troubles. Lovely looking car get it back from the detailer and drive it drive it drive it come rain snow and shine it really is a great all weather vehicleYes, my remote from the S3 didn’t work because the plugs are a different size annoyingly.
Just unplugged them for now, much better. Much more interior noise...

What’s the best way to have them permanently unplugged?

I been told it can’t be done via VCDS

Crossed wires here....
Exhaust valves can’t be opened with VCDS like the popular S3/G7R tweak
However Audinutta is saying that unplugging his valves creates error messages in the engine control module......hence the need for VCDS and the like to clear said errors.
Ah right, I didn’t know that they couldn’t be opened.. why can’t they on the RS3?
The errors will keep reappearing until the valves are plugged back in, but we can’t see them on the dash so makes no difference.
Right just ordered the terminator plugs and blanking plug connectors from vw international of flea bay will report back how good the are
