Morning People,

I have a A4 Avant 2005 3.0 V6 TDI. I have owned it around 2 months now and would like to get some wheels for it. Wheel in question are......
Upload 2017 8 16 10 4 35

However I'm getting more and more confused about the size. My car is lowered with I believe the B6 front mounts conversion so it sits nice which is why I don't want to mess up on the wheels.

Now Standard wheels 18" 5/112 ET43 7.5J. The wheels above only come in 8.5J wide.

Pleaseeeeeeeee could someone help me with working out what correct ET I should be getting. Also if someone else has any pics of this size fitted to their cars please share.

Thank You :)

Tom

what rims are you actually on now, as opposed what the factory fittments are.....best plan is to start at factory fittement size and look and progress from there to guage what you need to get and how it looks.

I'm on the standard S-Line wheels at the moment... which a believe are 18" 5/112 ET43 7.5J

B6 and B7 is the same.

Just make sure they're 5x112 (or you can get away with 5x114... but you shouldn't if you can help it).

ET 45 - 35 should be fine, the lower the further out the arch they will be, in the past I've had 19" wheels at around et33 which looked best.

Not the best picture/nicest looking wheels but mine are et45ish 17" Team Dynamics.

I'm more worried the fact mine sits quite low. So if I get the wrong ET I'm going to rub badly DOH :(. Are yours 8.5J?

Believe it or not mines on Eibach springs with AP dampers, looks higher as the wheels are smaller, These are 17" 7.5J with 225/45/17, for 19" I had 8.5J 235/35/19 et33ish which still sat within the arch... also had 9.5J 245 rears around et40 and all sorts haha gone through a few wheels.

Also encase you were wondering why I'm now on 17's it's because they weigh next to nothing and a set of tyres was much cheaper (ones I wanted for the 19's were £180 a corner where as these are £100 a corner), much preferred my old wheels aesthetically but now the car is more performance orientated.

I'm running 19x8.5 ET35 with 235/35 tyres and no rubbing what so ever and mines about the same as yours for ride height. Basically your tyres will be roughly the same as the ones you have on now for rolling circumference, outer diameter and width. All that will be different is the sidewall will be thinner.

Cool, so ideally then I need to be looking at getting ET35 with 8.5J. Type wise I'm going to let these die then replace with the proper size haha.
