Hi all
I think I know the answer but just getting confirmation.
Am I correct in saying mixing 5w30 with 0w30 (even in an emergency) is probably best avoided?
Reason I ask is because I have an almost full bottle of 0w30 that I got with the car from Audi, but when I recently had it serviced I moved over to castrol edge professional longlife iii 5w-30.
I have about 250ml of 5w30 left-over from the service for top-ups... But I was going to leave the 0w30 in the boot too if it was OK to also use that in a real emergency? Or best not to mix viscosities?
Thanks!
