Fuel smell

Does anybody else's car smell of fuel when they removed the rubber strip along the rear edge of the the engine bay?

Has the car had the charcoal canister removed on the engine. some people just have the tank venting into a pipe in the engine bay.
You could have a fuel leak from one of the rubber hoses leading to the fuel rail , the hoses split at the ends.

No it still has the charcoal canister attached I'll have a look at the pipes cheers
