Hi all so I posted abit ago about a rattling noise when sat at idle/ ticking over and it was horrible some suggest alternator pulley. Now I've took the belt off place a screwdriver in the alternator and the pulley turns freely anti clockwise but doesn't turn clockwise and on further inspection I played with the aircon pulls now this (not the best term) slaps about both anti clockwise and clockwise could this be the fault? Is so has anyone changed this before is it a big job? Or should I let a garage do it?
