New Car Needed what to get

hi guys and girls havnt been around for ages with work getting in the way..
im in the market for a newer car and fancy an 05/55 a4 avant sline.. i know of the oil pump problems on diesal models is there anything else to watch out for?

on a side note ive just spotted a rather nice 07 3.0tdi auto sline quattro that is right on the budget anything to watch out for on these??

Injector woes on the 3.0 tdi , if you can find one thats had a new set of 6 .

£3000 mate seen loads of decent ones but they are too far away to go and look at

If you have found a 07 3.0 tdi for 3k then that's cheap, around 130 - 140k they suffer with timing chain rattle on start up, sometimes just when cold & some when hot, if you hear a rattle after start up walk away or spend another 3k getting it fixed.

or just go with a nice spec 2.0tfsi with a good track record of maintaince and servicing, cheaper to run in the long term(road tax, fuel and ins )

try and find one close enough to go and look at mate found a rather nice one but its in liverpool!!!
