Full lock right or left :

As I told you guys 3 weeks ago that I have a problem and horrible noises when full lock right or left and all that, and that was the reason that I came back to STANSTED Audi to have a look and sort it out, and they told me that there is nothing wrong with it but this is normal because of Quattro system.

when they checked the car they took off the front wheels and they told me that everything looks perfect no worries about.
Yesterday I went down to my local garrage ( MR. Unique- nice guys all around) and when they took off the wheels to change tyres they found this( please see photos )
Please guys advise me how on EARTH you as a dealer take the wheels off and seeing that you are not telling me anything about, or at least to tell me that the car has to go for alignment??????
how they gave me the car back telling me no worries about it's all spot on ?
NO this is not acceptable, there is no WORD in dictionary for the job they did on my car.
and S5 cars got enough performance and strong engines and with tyres like an explosion could put your life in danger.

thanks God and thanks Dunlop because a good tyre even in worse situation still withstand pressure.

What's the point having warranty on your car with this kind of dealers as Stansted Audi ?
It is the most appalling check/service THEY could have done.

there is 100's or 1000's of people trusting them for doing a good job,
ALL THEYCAN DO IS JUST TAKING HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR THE WORST SERVICES EVER.

DISGUSTING!!!

That is pretty damning, have you spoken to the services department about this ?

I'd be giving Audi UK a copy of those pictures, and a detailed report on your experience with these so called Audi specialist /cowboys. :gun2:

Thank you for doing this,JG
but the reality is that any of as could be in my shoes, this is not acceptable.
I can't believe, first thing they suppose telling me and do the alignment because my car still got warranty and second which is the biggest problem I don't think that they are allowed to give me the car back with that worn tyre,
And they did told me that took off my front wheels to check the CV JOINTS and other bits, and if you take off the wheels this thing is not something that you can't see because that cut is probably 20-30 cm long.
And probably that's why I have those noises when full lock because one of the wheels has to be tested for alignment.
Thank you again.

I had my A5 into Audi Dealer for wheel alignment when it was still under warranty, nothing wrong with it but thought I'd get it done while the warranty was still valid, Audi tech send me a video of a shallow cut in my rear tyre, in fact it was more like a scratch, they gave me a price to replace it etc.
Surely the first thing they should of checked, on your car, was the tyres for wear when doing the wheel alignment, makes sense to me.

IMO your wheels were never off your car, if they were, the Audi tech needs to apply to be on a Specsavers advert. :pirate:

As I've said, you should send the pics to Audi UK, and complain about Audi Dealer.

yes, probably you're right the wheels were newer off, but the guy who gave me the keys back and explained to me about what they done to my car he did said to me that the wheels we're off while they checked and they found nothing wrong.
thanks.

write to the big boss of the garage and lodge a strong complaint also contact Audi .
That is dreadful.

They guy who said nothing was wrong should not have his job after Audi has looked into it.

Document and write a letter to the main Audi concern if you dont get any help from the boss at Stansted. Or try any other nearby Audi dealership and tell them about your experiences.

You should let Audi know anyhow how that problem was dealt with by that certain shop to be fair!
