A3 8P Bose System - Not that great ? broken/faulty?

Hi

Recently got a 2012 8p and it has the BOSE system but compared to my old 55 plate bog standard sport the BOSE system lacks bass and clarity

Is there anything i could check that possibly could be faulty ?

I have bass turned right up to max and its got a bit but nothing that really beats my old A3

have you checked the wiring at the back off your HU as there could be 1 loose and if you check through the forums there is loads on about the bose system
