bls engine /will a bxe fit

Hi, my 2009 a3 1.9tdi 104 with a bls engine code went, does anyone know if i can replace it with a bxe engine and are there any changes to be made

Don't put a BXE engine in , they can throw rods , if you do put a BXE in renew the upper conrod bearings and lower whilst you're there .

Remember the turbo and intake is different on the BLS so budget for associated items aswell.

thanks darren,I spoke to a breaker and he has a bxe with turbo and water pipes,he said it should fit but i wasn't sure wether to take a chance on it,he wants 700 pound

Did you try Quiggs in Rasharkin? I know it's a bit far from you but they're local to me and always have the variety of 1.9 MK5 engines.
