Hi all,
Just wanted to say "hello" as I pick up my first Audi (a Mk2 TT 3.2 V6) next week.
I've owned various performance cars over the years, which culminated most recently in an A45 AMG with 400bhp.
This went on Friday, mainly as - despite running it for 8 months - it just didn't thrill me. Nor did it feel fast or excite, despite being blinking quick and getting you into three figures without you realising it.
I reflected on the cars I'd owned that really got my juices flowing and decided that the emotional rather than logical choices have been the ones I've loved.
So... 2015 A45 AMG becomes a 2007 Lotus Elise R (for weekends / fun). I needed something sensible so after a weekend of test drives have ended up putting a deposit down on an Audi TT 3.2 V6 as I really liked it and figured it would suit me for a daily and be more 'business' appropriate
Lotus is being picked up tomorrow with the Audi later in the week.
Looking forward to being involved in what appears to be a great club too
Cheers,
Rob
