Hi,

i got my car remapped last year by AMD in essex from 140 to 193 Bhp . It was probably the best upgrade i have made on my car and noticed the difference when i drove a 140 yesterday .

The issue i am having is that i noticed on a number of occasions after a drive my fan is running really loudly for about 10 minutes . it has only been going on for the last coupe of months . My car is at 50000 miles and has had its regular oil changes including the gearbox . I had my cambelt changed last month and audi reported nothing after their regular health checks . i was wondering if this was anything to be worried about and if anyone knows why my fan is staying on after i turn the car off ?

The fan pack issue is a well known one with A3s,and my old 3.2 had exactly this.

As far as I can remember,it's down to one of the thermostats, but someone else will be along with better info soon.

The fan issues are totally separate from the map

Thanks for the replies . What would cause this issue and does it have a Simple solution or any serious consequences ?

If you use the forum search facility you'll find plenty of threads.

This one might help as well....

It's often the fan control unit,or thermostat related, and whilst it won't cause serious problems running constantly,it may result in the battery running low.

Another cause is here....

The fan will stop on if the car is stopped when it has just finished or is in the middle of a regen on the DPF. You need to check to make sure the DPF is being regenerated correctly and you don't have a sensor issue.
If you have had the DPF deleted when it was remapped then this isn't your issue.
