Engine help.

Hi Guys,
New to the forum. But not to vag cars and especially not diesels however i
Just bought my first a6.
2.5 tdi Quattro.
Love it.
BUT looses power randomly under heavy load or when cruising at motorway speeds then will struggle to go up hills/overtake etc.
It's turbo related - I took air box off and went for a spin heard it chatter a bit when power is lost.
Any ideas will be greatly received.

OK will do,
I ordered a new maf, (just seemed like a maf type of problem to me or maybe n75?) and will get it code checked in 2 weeks (on holiday in usa).
Iv also replaced all vacuum lines.
I was wondering really if it's a common issue 2 of my friends have had the 2.5 tdi one in a 2wd a6 avant and one in a Quattro A4 saloon. And they both seemed absolutely gutless. My wagon has grunt and a fair amount right up until the engine thinks you've had to much and switches of the boost.....

Most likely they had underlying îssues With Theirs cars...
