I have recently fitted a pd130 ASZ engine into my Audi A3 replacing the pd105 BXE engine as this had spun a shell and seized the engine.

The only problem now is it will not start as the crankshaft sensor if different, I can get the engine started by spraying a fuel substitute into the inlet manifold but it wont start without doing this due to the crank sensor. I have done some research and read up about putting the sensor off the BXE engine onto the ASZ but this means drilling the engine block.

Has anyone on this forum actually done this before and if so what was the outcome?
Thanks in advance
