Engine light, no engine related DTC

Hi guys,

My girlfriend's A3 1.8T AUM came up with engine light few weeks ago and was showing diverter valve error.
I traced it to cracked vacuum pipe under the manifold. Replaced the whole set and it runs all fine.
I've also done timing belt, water pump, full service and alternator belt tensioner couple of months ago when she bought it.

Yesterday again came up with an engine light. Just had it scanned, but no engine related errors.
Car runs smooth. Pulls like train.
Any idea what can it be? Would intermittent misfire cause engine light? Coil packs?

I suspect this is the reason there are no codes...
"No Faults Found
or DTCs not supported by controller
or a communication error occurred"

"No Faults Found" on its own suggests no actual faults... but seeing as it has "DTCs not supported by controller
or a communication error occurred" as well then its more likely a comms issue with the ECU... go to the ECU module on its own a check for faults again
