Power loss rain

Hi

Got 2001 a4 b6 130 tdI. When it rains or even when washing car goes into limp mode. Heavy rev usually sorts it. Any ideas ?

Tried few things but still happens. West of Scotlandso tend's to rain quite a bit.

can only think there's a leak getting on some sensor that makes it think the engine's stuffed?

Check the drain plugs under the scuttle panel, they get blocked with leaves and debris, causing water to leak into the cabin
I can't 100% remember but think some of the electrics are in the passenger footwell
