Faded drivers information display

Hi,
Does anyone know wether it is possible to change just the display in the dash pack. Mine fades from the right after it has been on for a while. Is there any one who has been able to fix this problem without replacing the entire dash pack. Any ideas gratefully received. Regards Craig.

Howdy t955daytona,

Just dropped the car with Docklands Audi this morning for a minor amendment and asked them to give me a quick appraisal while they are at it. One of the assessors just called me to say that the display is dimming and will cost about £800.00 to replace. He went on to say that it is not actually the bulbs as it works off a circuit board with embedded LED'S. Being a dealership, he gave me no alternative solution of rectifying this problem. I'm sure you have already been told all of this before but if you do find a way around the £800.00 bill, please keep us posted.
