No thats well past it's sell by date. Plenty of second hand items on Flea bay. Just need someone with Vag Com to do some tweaking.
 
Only thing that doesn't work is washer system and certain speeds on wipers.
 
As desertstorm has said....on all three counts!

And for the sake of £25 - £30 and a few beer tokens I would just get it sorted as you don't know if it may be causing other faults you aren't aware of.

A new one I think would be quite expensive....but on eBay they are going for £25-£30 second hand. As long as the part number matches all will be fine as long as you get it coded to the car. eBay Clicky
 
Cheers for the link mate. Coding has to be done by audi then or what?
 
Audi could do it but won't be cheap....have a look HERE and see if anyone is close to you with VCDS. It will only cost you a few beer tokens!

where you from?

Im breaking an a4 at the moment for spares for mine and don't need it. depending on part number I could have one... could also look at coding it as well if needed.
