Found a set of mk 2 tt alloys i quite like the look of, they are 18s and 9j with an offset of between 40/45 apparently, i know nothing about offsets, will they fit my b6 and what would i need for them to fit??

Yes they should fit ok, you'll just have to check the clearance on the inside to make sure they don't rub on the suspension. Worst case you might need a couple of spacers.

Thanks greeny, i missed the end of the auction as they were on ebay for £180 starting bid and they had 1 bid so went for that, theres another set on there but in a little better condition and 4x bridgestone tyres for £750!!!
