Esp fault with traction control light

while driving home tonight my esp light came on along with the traction control light and my car went into limp mode this has happened once before so i pulled over turned the car off then on and it reset. I have only had my S3 a few months any help would be great

Has anyone had anything similar happen or know of common problems with the esp system

Not yet as it only happened about half an hour ago my friend has vcds so will get him to have a look over the weekend

Mine had the same fault, turned out be a rear wheel speed sensor.

did you check it was that sensor using vcds or a code reader

Yes, originally using a Snap On Ethos+ and then confirmed using VCDS.
Upon inspection it turned out that the sensor had actually snapped just behind the multiplug.
