Hi everyone

Looking for some advice - my Audi A3 8L TDI PD130 has just gone over 100k miles.

I'm thinking of having a remap done to get a bit more performance out it - would this be a good or bad idea at 100k?

Thanks

JC

I've just bought a 130 and was contemplating it myself, I've just done a service using genuine parts and also used the revive turbo cleaner and for 158k on the clock it goes like stink (previous car was a remapped 1.8t a3)

Cool, cheers ayfreetee.

How do you use the revive turbo cleaner? Did it improve the performance?

I love the 130 engine, had it a year as my first car from being 19. Just fancy having a bit more low range torque :smilingimp:

Do either of you know how long the turbo's tend to last on the PD130?

Couldn't say tbh, the dub boys use a company called black smoke, apparently they are real experts on these engines, maybe best to contact them for advice.

As far as I know it's still on original turbo at 173 k and was remapped 13 k ago .
