vag com accepting codes but not making any changes to the car

hi , recently trying to add the aux in function , all hardwear is done but when i go to code it on vag com it accepts the code, but dosnt make any change to the car, and when i go back onto vag com its coming up as the old(non edited code) any help guys?

What cable are you using?

Have you tried clicking for the Aux function on the head unit?

you need to tell us more information about the car, about the headunit and where are you making coding changes at??

sorry new to all this, its a 2007 audi s3 with an rnse head unit , not sure of the coding off the top of my head will load laptop up later when im home ,

You've got the right cable, can you post up the step by step changes you're trying to make?

Have you made sure the AUX function is not already available?

That's not a genuine cable so that could be the problem.

arr right, it clears the fault codes and it also has changed the loading screen on the rnse (from saying s3 to mmi and then back to s3)

Genuine cables work just like the copy ones.
