Anyone got a 2004 TDI 2.0 BKD above 130k that hasnt had a porous head?

Mines just hit 121k and I'm getting very worried it's gonna get this issue. Spent a lot of money on it so far with new turbo and a big list of mods. Anyone got one of these and is still running fine? And is it just the gasket I'd have to replace or the whole lot? E.g. cams injectors ect

First of all find what head is fitted now. My BKD has B type head built on 2004-11-25.

can use your cams in a new head .so would just need to buy a new head

Mines at 132000 and all seems fine. Not sure if it's had it changed previously though

Mine is at 173k, A rev head, I have some coolant loss from time to time, but no white smoke or condensation on oil cap.

Done 2 heads this week
Early 04 & late 04

Both cracked all cylinders
