Apologies for the probably daft question, but anyone know what this is?

Was just checking under the back of my car (S3 8L1), and noticed this hanging down (which I assume it shouldn't be).

Anyone know what it is? This is the rear passenger side, doesn't seem to be one on drivers side....

its broken as i. sure you are aware.
it should be fixed to the black plastic arm on the sensor above it.
common break on these annoyingly

Just out of interest,are these expensive does anyone know? I'm just curious as a couple of yrs ago I looked under my mates s3 and his was broken,he never replaced his but I'm just wanting to know as I'm expecting mine to go the same way eventually.

I think they are about £80 from Audi, some people have repaired theirs, try a search on here, it should come up.

£80 doesn't sound too bad to be honest,I was expecting £hundreds after some recent purchases from Audi for some simple plastic bits for my fairly recently purchased s3! Next time I've got it on the lift at work I'll check the condition of mine and see if there's any way of prolonging any failure!
