hi guys

went for a steady drive tonight and when i got home i could feel the heat from the rear right wheel as i walked past the car.
so i checked all the wheels
the 2 fronts were similar to each other to touch.
the rear left not to disimilar to the fronts
easily toucable
but the rear right was miles hotter
couldnt touch the wheels for long they were that hot.
that seem odd??

thanks

quite common on the Vag rear calipers - I just changed both rear calipers after I replaced the rear wheel bearings and on refitting calipers, realised that both rears were binding and the tool to unwind the piston would not even budge the pistons at all - so I changed both and my MPG has shot up ! didnt even realise it until I did the job.
Try to wind it back in first though before replacing caliper - you may just loosen it off. Good luck

cheers jon
im guessing its got to be and as you say very common

thanks

got me thinking now... you could see the heat coming off my rear drivers side wheel when i popped in to a petrol station to fill up earlier. Driving from plymouth to goodwood on Saturday, if it is binding i wont have a pad left :')
