@hxrpz - Bagged & Stage 2+ S3 Build

Wasnt feeling the Ulta's to begin with. But last few days they've grown on me !

One thing i wanted to ask. I've seen all the big boy's (like adam rickards and i believe nicks orange M3) have Lords on there back window.
What is it , a dapper/illest kinda cult/lifestyle?

In person the car looks so much better on them buddy. Always feels weird when people talk about them like that, they're all just normal sound guys :grinning: LXRDS is basically a sticker that got made by the guy who runs dapper because he got fed up of people running the fake dapper stickers so switched it up. I met him when he came over from the US for Worthersee, real down to earth guy.

VagBremTechnic Big Brake Kit:

Recently decided it was time to upgrade my brakes & set to doing some research. After a while I came across a review of the Vag Brem Technic big brake kit for MK5 platform cars. I've got to admit it was hard getting hold of somebody who sold them but Alex Kerr at AKS Tuning finally came through and sold me this amazing kit :smilingimp: The kit consists of...

  • Aston Martin DB9 Callipers
  • AP Racing - 362mm 2 piece floatings discs
  • Pagid RS4 - Pads
  • HEL Braided Lines
  • Calliper Bracket
cost me £2100 for the kit

Still trying to work out how I was stage 2+ for so long on stock brakes.

Haven't had the chance to fully bed them in yet but they seem to be really good so far. Now for the rears.

Mate them brakes look amazing , whats the OEM setup like on stage 2+, does it get a bit hairy?
no doubts there probably normal people like you and i, i think the reason i say that is because they are the flagship cars out there right now and i and loads other look up to those cars ! The things i would do for Adams Golf on OZT's is absolutely disgusting :coldsweat::coldsweat:
Thanks for clearing up LXRDS , ill get the vinyl cutter out in the morning to make my millions :p

First off, nice post! Seen this car everywhere for the last few month on Instagram, but it's nice to see the progress and the pics showing how you've got it to where it is now.

My only question is, what on earth do you do for a job? As you seem to spend a staggering amount of money on this beast. I need your job! lol

Car is amazing! What size ultraleggera's are they? the fitment is spot on, my dad has a set on his merc he said i could have, fronts are 8.5x19 ET32 which should fit! The rears are 10x10 ET 32 which i have my doubts about, i think they will have alot of poke!

Also whats your reviews on the brakes ? I killed my standard setup of track on tuesday and in the market for an upgrade hence why im looking for some bigger wheels, the kit you have looks like very good quality for the money!

Hi buddy. They are 19 x 8.5 ET 40 all round. You will struggle with the rear unless on air suspension with stupid stretch which isn't good for a performance car.

The brake kit is really good. It should be for sale soon due to a decision to take a step back from the car modifying :)

I'm just a normal office monkey  There's a lot of money on repairs etc that has been spent that I wish would never of had to of been spent but that's life. Thanks for the kind words though!

As of later last week, I've made a decision to break the S3. Somebody offered me good money for the car and it made me reflect on the car & how much money and time I put into it., I think i've hit a point where I'm just spending money trying to re-coupe my love for it all & that's when it's time to get out. Sadly the offer fell through but it's made me decide to part it out.

Bits for sale:

Dynavin N6 - Headunit

TT S - Engine Cover

Carbon Fibre - Door Trim

Air Suspension & Boot Install.

Alcantara Arm Rest - Top Bit

H&R Anti Roll Bars

OH AND THE WHEELS

How much for the TTS engine cover please bud?
Also, how much for the Dynavin N6

When you do break it, will you be starting a For Sale thread or will it all be in here? I'm going to be getting an S3 within the next few months and will be after some parts for it.

Epic build thread though.

Sick man :D Does the new TT use the 8V S3 engine ?

Kind of wish I had hung on to my money and saved a little longer and went for a TTRS

All the best with the new motor mate.

It does indeed buddy. They pop and bang like nothing. Funny you say that, I looked at MK3 TT RS's & E92 M3's before putting my money down on the MK3 TT-S but got hit with £7000 insurance on the RS & £9000 on the M3.

Sick , I've heard the 8v and the golf r standard and they roar :D Jesus that's pretty hefty, what's insurance going to be like on this then and out of interest on your s3 ? As I know your a pretty young lad, and I was only a year older then you when I got my s3 last year, and I only ended up paying £1k with one year ncb.

9K insurance? How old are you if you don't mind me asking?! I've got the itch for something NA and V8 as my next car, most likely an E92 M3 but my insurance certainly isn't anywhere near that high!

It's going to be a whole load less as 1.) I'm another year older with another years no claims & 2.) It won't be modified which will knock off a huge amount. When I got the S3, I was 19 with 3 points and one year NCB so it was a lot higher than yours :(

£7k insurance....****** hell lol

I've only just turned 20 years old lads with 3 points & as of next month two years no claims now so I can't moan too much about it being stupidly high. It'd be nice to have something like a V8 but the insurance isn't justifiable and I can't complain about what I've got :)

I couldnt afford insurance like that.. 21 with 3 points and im paying £504 a year for a3 2.0tdi...

My second year insurance was £3k on a £2k car lol. Do what makes you happy, even if it does empty your wallet.

Try green light lads. They specialise in young lads with boost ;). I'm 26 and pay less then £500 on my S3.

I know it's more for a 21 year old but they're very competitive and the service is second to none. You ring up and straight through, no diversion via India.

Additional discounts also if you've had a powerful hatch in the past :).

łał, amazing car. For me, probably one of the best a3. Thumbs up :)

The car officially went tonight & it prompted me to pop on here to see what's been going on. As always thanks for the kind comments guys :sunglasses: Insurance can be a joke but definitely going to take a look at green light!
