Lap timer but no oil temp readout.

Hi, I have done a search, but not found any results. I have enabled the lap timer on my 2009 B8 S4, but there is no oil temp display showing (just shows track info or radio station) even turning off MMI the display stays blank.
Have I done something wrong, or is this option not available on my car?

I also couldn't find this on my V6 Diesel, although many others seemed to enable it fine with the Lap Timer
