Just a word of warning - I ordered 4 Michelin Alpin winter tyres from these clowns, having seen good reviews and used similar firms in France without problems.
Oponeo managed to supply four tyres with 2011 manufacture dates - first and second quarter, despite their website stating they do not supply anything older than 18 months.
The tyre fitter didn't notice until he'd fitted two and started the third. Oponeo say they wont change them, as they've been fitted.
Utter clowns and dishonest. Unfortunately I paid via Paypal, who are less than helpful so have had to accept a small discount after taking and sendimng umpteen photographs.
I will never use Oponeo again, obviously, but wanted to warn others too.

If I was You I would try http://www.tyreleader.co.uk/ They do sell tyres that are upto 3 years old but they are clearly marked in the advert.

I have had tyres and wheels from them several times with no issues. A 3 year old tyre will be OK as long as it is stored correctly,
There are millions of cars driving around in the world with tyres older than 3 years on. Plenty of people put spare wheels on that have been in the boot for 10 years without batting an eyelid. But you shouldn't have paid the same price as a brand new tyre.

This tyre is DOT 2011 and is sold as such

The same tyre but new is more than £12 more.

I use tyreleader also. Very good and as described above

Must admit, used Oponeo a couple of years ago when I got winters for my quattro, couldn't fault their service, tyres arrived in less than 48 hours, brand new just released versions of the Pirelli Sottozero......

Yep, that's what I'd have expected.

Ah well, live and learn. Plenty more suppliers out there!
