Number plate bulb problem

One of the bulbs went above my reg plate last week and I replaced (both) with a couple of LED ones.

Now the same side has blown again.

I'm guessing the LED should last longer than a week, so what's it likely to be? Too much power going to the bulb?

Cheap fleabay bulbs ?

Cheap bulb is most likely or in my case a mrs that slams the boot.

It's always a good idea to buy canbus bulbs where possible as the resistor helps balance out the power to the LED.

Shouldn't be affected by the boot being slammed though as it has no moving parts like a filament bulb.
