I'm looking to get my first Audi. I've decided on the A3 TDI as I need something efficient. I have a budget of between £8000-9000 and have settled on the 2010 2.0 sport as many seem to prefer this to the 1.6 litre and I want something with a bit of power.
I've been looking on Auto Trader and could get one with around 80,000 miles but have started thinking that maybe I should try an auction and get one with less miles for the same price. Would I have to be less picky and specific with what I want if I did an auction?
Can anyone offer any advice on auctions or whether I should play it safe and go privately or trade and get the engine checked out?
