Need some help with front end conversion ?

Hey guys,

I'm looking into buying a a3 for the girlfriend, I've offered to buy a 2006 plate the facelift version (I think) however she doesn't like the front of it but..... she does like the front end of a 2010 s3 (female).

Anyways my question - say if i was to buy the pre-facelift 8p a3 instead of the 8p facelift would I still be able to do the conversion or is everything different ?
