Engine change in my Quattro b5

My engine is in my 2000 b5 Quattro has died completely so looking for a new engine would I be able to put the Octavia vrs engine from an 03 in it

No, it needs to be from an A4 platform car.

A4/A6/Passat etc.

AEB or AJL code would be a direct fit.

Later engines can be used but might need tweaking, so best sticking with AEB or AJL for direct fit.

Breaking a 1.8 TQS if you're after a good engine... Car is still almost complete so can be driven before taking the engine out ! Drop me a pm if interested...

Only just seen your reply adam thanks mate but really need the engine in the next couple of days managed to find a decent one
