KW V1, front coilovers, only rear springs...?

Hi guys,

can get a set of kw v1 for $250, the front assemblies are complete, however, no rear shocks, just the adjustable springs, can i run these? They're second hand and from a mk4 gti, can i get koni yellow or bilstein b8's to replace the missing rear shocks?

Are they from a 4wd (4motion or r32 golf)?

2wd setup will not fit your S3, both front and rear are different.

How would you mount the top of the front drop link into a 2wd shock that doesn't have the bracket for it?

could fabricate and weld one on, PITA though.

Think the simple answer is no

They would be the wrong ratings even if you could get them on

As for mixing mixing KW shocks with some other manufacturer sounds like a trip into ditch to me

As above, all KW struts have the tab for 2wd or 4wd models

Spring rates are also the same at the front I believe. Same engine and main running gear up front....
