Radio Symphony II - FM & AM Signal

Hi all,

My radio takes a few minutes to start picking up signal. I have an Audi S3 1.8T 8L.

Any thoughts?

I have replaced the aerial grommet as the old was was perished.

Could be the antenna base, aerial grommet as in rubber base on the roof?

The rubber base is what I replaced.

Is it easy to replace the whole thing?

As soon as it starts working it works fine that's the odd thing.

You can get into the space above the roof lining & remove, its not to hard to replace.

Is that via the map light? I had to go through there to replace the grommet.

I was thinking it might be the head unit as when I get signal after a few minutes it is perfect.
