Fault codes 08C8 and 052C

Before posting I have thoroughly checked google and the Ross Tech wiki for these fault codes and I'm not getting anywhere.

I have an intermittent issue with the ESP light coming on in my A3. Took it to my mot tester friend and he quickly checked the fault codes. Couldn't do anymore as his boss was hanging around.

I found one obscure post that mentioned that 08C8 could be a clutch opening control unit error but it didn't seem clear. Is that something to do with the Mechatronic issue common in the DSGs? I've already had that replaced under warranty two years ago.

Anyone know anything about these two codes??

Just incase anyone ever has a similar problem with these codes, been to an Indy garage and these fault codes stem from the AWD system. Basically my haldex pump is knackered.
