Reverse lights/sensors not working every time

Hi All,Anyone ever had any problems with the reverse system. Mine appears to when cold. I put it in reverse and no lights/sensors work. Drive around a bit. Reverse into somewhere and everything activates as it should.I suspect its a reverse switch on the gearbox?

Is it auto or manual gearbox?

Anyone ever come up with a solution to this? Mine would work intermittently, but I was away for a month and the car wasn’t driven and now they haven’t worked at all.

Also a manual.
Anyone any ideas?

It should be due to a gearbox casing located switch or wiring.
