They're gloss black, it definitely makes it look a lot more aggressive
Are you sure, they look silky matt to me rather than gloss!

Guys need some help. Struggling between misano red and phantom black. Misano red looks great, and suits the car, but I think it obscures the red S3 badge at the back, a small but maybe irritating thing. The black however doesn't and a clean black car looks amazing, but maybe too many around and shows scratches and dirt too easily?? Help!
I've just never been a fan of chrome trim to be honest.
By the way, the B&O sound system is absolutely epic. Probably the best sound system I've ever heard in a car and I've been in some serious cars.
depends whether you want the car to stand out a little or not - I opted for misano red, I like the colour, black is too bland for me and keeping is clean is a mare
If you're wondering if yellow suits the s3, i think it does:
Good to hear as I spec'd B&O. And I spec'd the black trims, gone for stealth with brilliant black and the black pack. Can't wait now! Gonna be a long 6 weeks!
I spoke to Ben yesterday by the way, yours is going for initial development I think as you have it now (not fair) and ours will go later when we have had the exhaust system and Forge parts developed Stage 1 will be insane anyway if it is around the 370bhp mark!
Ive gone for Misano too, liked panther black but Misano seemed to show off the lines well, tough decision on colour though!
I've got my Misano and love it.
It's been around 15 years since I've had a red car, but Misano is great on a sunny day, in the dark and especially under car park lights, really stands out and shows the subtle lines of the car well.

Thats great to know, thanks. the one I test drove was Misano and I really liked it. I've also gone for parade red interior, just can't wait!!

Well I've ordered a very VERY standard S3. Only options are brilliant red (technically not an option) and s-tronic box. That's what you have to order when you are 22! But I'm sure everyone here is ordering based on 300bhp 1400kg and Quattro
i knew that colour rang a bell, not sure yellow works in Europe, definitely couldn't have in New York or you would get random people getting in the back of your car and telling where to go! (At least you would get there quick in a S3!)
Haha completely agree, but when gear changes are that smooth and instant and that lovely whoomph on upshifts is too good to not have. But then cruising around with little effort is nice as well.amazing how things have changed. "When I was a lad"....when I was 22, 23 years ago if id ordered a car with an auto box my mates would have lol and probably not talk to me anymore - cars have come a long way certainly in the last 5 years
they have the parade red interior s3 stronic in Epsom surrey - id suggest looking at it as I hate the parade red as it looked a bit garish, really in your face and a bit chavvy - sorry. if its not too late and you are near Epsom or theres one with that interior near you id check it out - save your money and get the supersport seats instead
Hey thats my local dealer too - thats the car I test drove. It also has black inlays which is what I went for in the end. I liked the red interior my self but was not willing to spend the extra. I think the price is more that the super sports seats which definitely look nice bug again I did not have the budget for those either.

In the process of ordering a S3, we currently have the new S-Line TDI in Daytona grey and will be keeping the car for work.
I'm still undecided on manual or auto, my golf gti ed 35 was DSG, looking at misano red, super sports seats, comfort pack, SD sat nav, advanced key, unsure on B & O, folding mirrors.
Any other options worth it or anything anyone would drop?
It does seem a lot of coin for something that's not a necessity!Drop advanced key, there are better things to spend 425 quid on!

Dealer just rang offering a discount of 8%, manual, misano red, advanced key, folding mirrors, SD sat nav, super sports seats, B&O and comfort pack for exactly 32k on the road.
Does it sound like a good deal?
It's not only Kings Lynn who offer 9% shop around !!!!

If you know of others who offer 9% then let these guys know, Kings Lynn were the only dealer who I found offering that level of discount and for new guys on here its all worth sharing. The more dealers the better because in the North West they seem to be giving v little indeed.
Happy if people want to PM me.. but only if they promise not to put a PP on it!!!
I believe many are now offering 9% BUT you will generally need to be known to them and ordering a reasonable number of options. .
I know you have an affinity with Kings Lynn but they wouldn't help me!
8% is pretty good Ziggy, if you're happy that's the main thing!!
