Hi guys,

Wondering if you can give me a little advice, I've got an a4 2.0 tdi 143 sline on a 58 plate (October 2008) I have only had it 4 months but im wondering if it is due a cambelt change, service manual says its good for 75,000, mine has done 58,000 miles but is now 5 years old, so should I be going off the age? Your advice would be much appreciated. Also should I get the job done at audi? seems pricey. something like £525 if you want water pump as well!

Cheers

Chris

Yeah go off the age aswell, once they get old they can become brittle and snap and then it will be an extremely costly repair.
It would be better done at an Audi specialist rather than Audi themselves because you get the same thing done a whole lot cheaper.

How did you get on?

Did you use oe or pattern parts from the likes of gsf or euro car parts

Yes got mine done. Got pump and belt from Audi, my AA friend did it for £40. Happy days!
